A wood stove that once occupied the kitchen area has been moved to the dining room of the lodge for display. The kitchen area, although it can be viewed by visitors has not been restored as of yet. The lodge itself is still a work in progress. We can only hope that the Columbine Fire which started on August 9th or any subsequent fires that will eventually claim the forest in this area will spare this historic site.
