Texas Hill Country

We did get to see a little excitement while we were in Brady. It seems that a couple of days before we left there was an attempted bank robbery. Unfortunately the robber wrote his note on the back of one of his own checks. He wasn't hard to find!!

Anyway the day we were leaving, he decided he wanted to go for a walk during his exercise period at the jail. Unfortunately he got lost and couldn't find his way back.

As we were getting ready to hook up the rig, law enforcement came into the campground IN FORCE!! Guns drawn, screaming and over a dozen vehicles surrounded the bank robber/jail escapee down at the end of the property.

From what we saw, Texas Law Enforcement takes personal offense when you leave one of their jails without permission.

And who says nothin' exciting happens in Texas!!

The campground has 45 spaces and it wasn't exactly crowded. There was only one other rig there.
